Putting the pieces of the marketing puzzle together…

Jay spends a lot of his time travelling the world sharing his knowledge with eager marketers and when he’s in Australia he’s represented by Marc Dussault of EmpowerNet (www.empowernet.com.au), also a marketing genius. Between them, these guys have ideas that put the rest of us mere mortals to shame! Over the years, Giant has created some really fascinating promotional items with Marc, but my favourite so far would have to be the Marc Ka-Ching © Cube.

The Marc Ka-Ching © Cube is a genuine Rubik’s Cube, pad printed on each side. Each individual square making up the cube had its own piece of text, and the challenge was to solve the marketing puzzle. The packaging wasn’t part of the Rubik’s product, and needed to be sourced separately, but really finished the product beautifully.

The Rubik’s Cube, originally designed in 1974, and now famous pretty much everywhere, was a fabulous medium to use for such a project, providing both innovation and familiarity to recipients.
